about

The Animals Are People Too project was begun in celebration of our third anniversary as a band (June 2nd, 2007). The idea was to unvail a new album one track at a time over the course of the year beginning with track one on June 2nd, followed by a new track on the second of each subsequent month, concluding on May 2nd, 2008 with track twelve. Each track remained available for download for the duration of the month being removed only when the next track was released in its place. In addition to the song itself, liner notes about each song, as well as a puzzle piece of the album cover were unveiled each month. To celebrate the four year mark on June 2nd, 2008 all twelve tracks became available where they have and will continue to remain for free download.

The tracks are free and will remain free, what we ask is that you use the money you would spend on iTunes and donate it to one of these worthy causes (ASPCA [American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals] and/or HFA [Humane Farming Association]) we believe strongly in endorsing. Anyone who has seen an episode of "Animal Cops: Detroit" on Animal Planet knows these helpless creatures need your $10 more than we do. And one need only look to the ever increasing supply of organically produced meat and dairy in their local supermarket to see that the gig is up on factory farming. From the growth hormones and antibiotics poisoning our bodies to the despicable living conditions of these living, breathing beings, people are becoming more and more aware of factory farming and its negative effects on our society. Help be a part of the solution, and get some rockin' tunes while your at it!

Look around, whether your dog is begging at your knee, your cat is sleeping on your lap, a squirrel is scurrying up a tree, or a bird is soaring through the sky, they have as much a place on this Earth as we do. After all, animals are people too.
