about

This tune has a lot of history. First of all it's one of the oldest songs to finally make it's way into The People repetoire. This song was first written and recorded when I was about 17 where it found it's way onto a demo that I passed around to friends. A couple of years later it became a live staple of my first band and years after that was eventually recorded by Sean and I before The People were even formed. When we finished the first album Sean upgraded the entire studio with all new gear and on a late night, four or so years ago, everything but the vocals were recorded while testing out the new equipment. This funk masterpiece (featuring my attempt at slap bass and Sean on Rhodes) remained instrumental for years before finally recieving vocals on a crazy night last month at 4a.m. I'm proud to introduce Sean as he makes his lead vocal debut and hope you enjoy the chaos that ensues when the two of us stay up all night recording stupid lyrics amidst various screams, chants, and yells. (yes, thats me heckling myself during the guitar solo) Ebbie, I hope you're proud!

ps: Try saying "he stalked a stocker sticking stacks of steaks into a freezer" five times fast.
