Get Away is one of those songs that was written in a matter of minutes. Whenever I have these songs that just sort of write themselves in the amount of time it takes to get from the beginning to the end, I always hesitate to actually add it to the repetoire for fear that something that came together so quickly can't actually be worth listening to. But then I inevitably keep coming back to it every time I pick up a guitar and so I cave in and it becomes an official 'song'. After Get Away had been around with 'fake' lyrics for a couple of weeks, I scribbled some finalized words on a sunny afternoon in the middle of June, and the band learned and recorded it a few weeks later. So here you have it, a tune that's less than 2 months old ready for download. Gotta love it!
